Henning Schmitz studied at the Musikhochschule Rheinland and at the Fachhochschule Dusseldorf and has a degree as audio and video engineer. Since 1978 he works for the German electro band Kraftwerk with which he performs live since 1991 and for which he has mixed and re-mastered part of the catalog.

As a studio engineer, he has over the years worked with numerous popular and successful national and international  artists and produced remixes for artists such as Nikka Costa, Graham Coxon, Londonbeat and Kim Wilde. For customers such as the WDR he has composed and produced music for radio plays and features.
